Mavic Crosstrail 2010

I recently bought a pair of Crosstrails.
Light, and such a jump forward with UST tyres.
However, on my Pace RC41 forks with QR, they really seem to wander a bit, unlike my previous hope pro 2 and 321 combination, or even the WTB speedisc.
I bought these wheels, never having had this problem, yet it appears that 140mm forks, with a much lighter modern wheel, seems to have problems you didnt get 5 years ago!
As the forks are on the way out, can I convert these wheels to 15mm, which may solve the problem when I get new forks?
