Anyone know of a decent mount for the handlebars?
I dont exactly go riding down Ben Nevis every day & mainly use my bike on the road, apart from the odd leap of faith from the occasional kerb, tree root or lump in the road.
I've bought a couple previously but after a while the plastic snaps so looking again now as I want to be able to use it for a cheap sat nav system.
Cheers,
Russ

I had a Dahon / Tigra one which is strong (fully encloses the iPhone) and is near as dam it waterproof ! worked well (though just sold on eBay!) there around the £45 mark....got rid of it as got myself a Garmin 800 (much smaller and was worried on having my only communication device out on show !)
Got a Garmin 705 for sale if your interested ;-) ?0 -
I had a tiagra one but its too bulky and not waterproof enough for my liking. Moved to a Topeak iPhone bag which seems to be very waterproof, much more compact and has a better mountA Flock of Birds
+ some other bikes.0 -

Thanks but with a baby due in a months time if I start spending lots of cash she'll kill me!!
Also I listen to music as I ride & sometimes call home as well so the iphone is the only option really.0 -
I bought one of these from ebay earlier in the summer and use it every time I go out on the road on my mountain bike.

The case itself has to click onto the mount (have to push quite hard) and I didn't click it back very well to begin with and it fell off a couple of times - phone undamaged though. Now I have it on properly it hasn't come off since.
It is quite bulky and the plastic screen isn't great for visibility (collects finger prints and sweat marks) but it does allow phone operation without removing the case. Inside is a rubber seating for the phone to rest to help cushion it and the closure clips hold the front in place even when it falls offs (they are quite stiff to release on mine - a good thing).
It does the job. I guess most of the negatives e.g. bulky are there to protect so actually good.0
