Still using my old Gt avalanche and zaskar, the original ancient bikes.
This is my first road bike - XL defy 3 (granny ring model).
Defy mudguards fitted.
Still feel that I am riding it like a mountain bike, it is only a week old.
Amazing amount of speed for such little effort compared to the mtb.
Stem will need changed for a high degree model. Back needs a high handlebar.

Looks good. I just got a Defy 2 and am well pleased with it.
If you change the saddle, can i have first dibs on yours?0 -
I am in Forfar and the angus glens are on my doorstep.
Looked at the defy2 as well, better bike, missing granny gear was just a step too far for me. Just back biking again after 2 years. Fitness and stamina are at a granny gear level at the moment. So far had to buy new pump toget up to 110psi, mudguards, lights, computer and new pedals. Still need cages, bike pump, tubes etc.
Bloody expensive hobby.0 -
My return is after 5 - 6 years. Got the bike friday and been out everyday since, didgusted over how unfit I actually am.
I have had to buy loads of stuff too, easily spent over £200 already and have another parcel on its way lol.
Road bikes are just so much more beauitful than mountain bikes. yours looks ace in white0
