I am wanting to build a pair of wheels to suit 2 different bikes. One has standard 135 rear axle, one is 142+. Is there a hub which can fit either, with a different spacer and axle? I understand that this will lose one of the advantages of 142+, the wider flange hub. I am thinking Pro Evo, Chris king etc level hubs. Thanks!

  • There isn't actually a difference in flange distance on a 142mm hub, the extra width is in the axle.

As far as I remember Hope Pro 2 Evo, Crank Brothers and Chris King are all convertable. I can't remember anymore off the top of my head
