which forks?

Hello
This is a really rookie question from a total component numpty. I have a Scott Spark 35 2009. I also have a side project hardtail that I started ages ago and never finished. I'm now going to take the best bits of both and sell the rest. The hardtail has some 100mm Fox Suspension 32 F100 RL forks that I picked up cheap from ChainReaction last year. The Scott has the standard Rock Shox Reba SL 120mm. Would it be worth swapping them over? I only need 100mm travel as I do local XC and local trail riding. No idea which fork is better. Not sure if it would change the bike much other than the travel? The other thing to note is that the Scott has Bonty Rythym Elites. I have a Nukeproof Generator with the QR to fit the Fox. So I'd swap the wheel accordingly, so maybe that would saw the decision a bit? As I said, no idea at all... :oops: so any help would be much appreciated.
