I live now in the SW France which being about 2 hrs from the Pyrenees as you can imagine its quite hilly , i'm looking to take up cycling have been quite a keen runner but had to stop due to a hip injury.
So i guess my question is which bike because mainly due to the hills although not long say 1k -2 k they are quite steep. So although i'm quite fit i need a bike to get me around i have about £600 to spend but am confused.
Any advise would be helpful
Thanks

Hi,
That's a pretty standard budget for a first bike, so there's plenty of choice. There are also a few threads along similar lines already, check these out for starters:

The most important thing for a first road bike is to get one which fits you well. Additionally, given your location, I'd recommend a triple chainset to make the hills more manageable.FCN 4/120 -
