Good luck sir. Going to be a tough one I expect.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

  • Indeed. After everything he's been through I hope he doesn't end up with nothing.

I think he'll struggle to get on a World Tour team but hopefully a team at a slightly lower level will give him a chance.

I wish him the best of luck. That he's even riding a bike again is fantastic achievement considering the injuries he had.

Hopefully the equivalent of the ad in cycling news will help- all the very best to him.

And all credit to Saxo-Bank for sticking with him through the thick and thin of the past couple of years. But it's a tough sport, and I'm assuming that they can't keep him on their books because he would be taking up a place now he's no longer a neo-pro.

Would love to see him at Endura.

That's exactly the team I thought of. At this stage what he needs is regular racing, regardless of the level, and realistic goals.

I agree. If he could get himself a 1 year contract at a lower level team that would be the opportunity to go out an show people what he can do. Fingers crossed that he can get something. I just hope he doesn't end up like Tom Faiers, who seems to have completely disappeared after moving to an American team (after his heart problems ruined the last year of his contract in Europe).
  • endura would be perfect for him, they get into big races and i think are going pro conti next year? but also do prems and stuff so he wouldn't be thrown in at the deep end every time he races which i think is kind of what happened with saxo bank

Yeah that's what I thought of too. I can see them shedding a few riders at the end of this year but it's still a gamble to bring in Bellis. Would be good to see though.
Scottish and British...and a bit French
  • He's basically had to develop as a rider all over again after his crash, very tough to do that whilst getting paid by a trade team rather than as part of the GB academy or similar.

Hopefully he will get a ride, even if it's just a year to prove himself. The problem is that it's tough out there at the moment, a guy who has struggled to finish a race this year is never going to be an easy sell.

  • 'props' to Saxo for keeping him on for as long as they did
