    'Ning fellow bi-cyclists
Just forced some breakfast down me, car loaded up, off to pick up a friend and head out to the wonders of the Kitchener (red (pffft)) trail at Sherwood Pines. See how the leg holds up!
Later I will be baking a cake, then it's off round the rentals to show my stepdad how to use his new Blackberry, and to eat some fillet steak.
    Not a bad day really

  • On the friend's sofa. Fuck knows where she is? Me and a few others got in at 5 from a party. Woke up an hour ago and they've all disappeared.

Currently eating toast and watching Michael McIntyre

  • Morning Spankers!

Just woke up at feeling a little rough from last night. My knee's are in clip from too much running, football & rugby therefore no cycling for me again. I don't think I've had the bike out for two weeks now :(

I should be fit again for next weekend and therefor will be out on the trails :D

t'is a pretty shocking day here today to be honest, one of those days that I think will be spent inside watching films with the kids and playing x-box.
  • Morning Fart Smellers!

Today I'm heading back up North after a few days in Essex with friends :( It also worries me that Monday is nearly here as it's a day at work which will be amazing, or my downfall.

So, won't be doing much today as it will take about 4 hours to get home.

    Laters!

Same here. I'm contemplating going for a ride, but it's going to have to be head-to-toes waterproofs jobbie.
But it's infuriatingly warm, so... hmm.
Might just stick to the xbox.
  • Today will be spent preparing a presentation and if I can be arsed sorting out my gears, been putting that off for 2 weeks now.

Though this morning I manged to get the seals off my fork and get some lube in there (fuck knows how the photos in guides managed to do it so cleanly) had a couple of scares where the screw driver connected with the stanchions but thankfully no damage. The rubber on the edges of the seals is a bit mangled but the job is done... I'm too ham-fisted for this delicate lark

Hopefully the weather tomorrow will be just as nice as today and I'll be able to get up and go to gisburn to work off an almighty hangover from my mates leaving do. Other than that, what a boring weekend it will be. Dreading heading back to work on monday.

Been left in charge of the kids while wifey plays with her ponys
No1 stole some skittles out of the fridge this morning so was bouncing off the walls but is now on a comedown and is crying at everything.
Beautiful weather here  so will go to the park with the kids and attempt some de-stableiser-ation?
night off from wifey tonight so cooking a big bowl of chilli, watching action films and drinking heavily!
Then I will be rudely awoken by a very drunk lady slightly resembling my wife who will be stinking of tags and complaining everyone is too young in the pubs nowadays  then shell throw up for an hour or too then snore until I go riding tomorrow

    Afternoon Crudders,

Been into town to pick up supplies and the like but am feeling like sh1te for some reason I can't fathom so will try to perk myself up with a full English lunch. Don't know about the rest of the day, may try to sit in the sun somewhere while it's still around...

    Enjoy.

    Afternoon sapiens,

Back from Cannock after following the dog for two laps. Car park fairly busy- trail strangely quiet. Really good morning sorting out rear tyre pressues. Got back for a roast veg and brie bagette? baguette? baggete? 29er roll. Nom.

    Onwards! To the shower!

....cos I smell like a hog-rending plant

    word up fools

just back from my first ride on the quantocks, did the Killer Loop from MBUK (issue was pretty recent) and it was bloody fantastic i tell thee!

set off at 9 this morning and headed out from Holford car ark and did a bit and then met a group of 6 or so guys that showed me the way for a bit and then hit a section called Smiths Coombe, dark steeper than i was expecting!

The highlight was OTB special of a log jump i was anticipating, boom air, boom tree! nothing broken and only minor bruising i reckon!

I will definitely be going there again, some awesome people around as well,

also on stopping i noticed that the edge of my rear rotor has bronzed from the heat generated on one of the longer, steeper hills, thought it looked cool

    Evening.

Today, a lovely man prodded a couple of needles through my tongue. Upshot is that I now have 2 shafts and 4 balls in my mouth at all times.
  • Afternoon Maggots,

I serviced the rear M525 hub on the All Mountain bike today
In fact, the bearing drive side surfaces were pitted, so I went to Swinnerton's to see if I could get a service kit, by time I'd priced up a new Freewheel Body and bearings, it was just cheaper to buy a complete M525 hub and strip it down to replace the innards on the fitted hub. I learned a lot doing this simple little task today. Yes, hubs are easy to service, but I guess the job would have gone a lot quicker if I had remembered to install the hub body/freewheel body spacer when reassembling. A little bit of "Doh!" factor I guess.

Now it spins beautifully and the new freewheel body gives a lot more click than the old one did.

Ha, it's a stealth model compared to the WTB Super Duty equipped back wheel I have been using as a replacement. That thing clicks almost as loud as a Hope
