661 Evo elbow pads won't stay up

Afternoon all,
before our recent trip to the Dolomites, I got myself a pair of 661 Evo elbow pads. I have skinny arms, and my previous pads were a bit baggy unless worn over clothing, so I thought a pair of the S pads, which were a nice snug fit, would be far more comfortable in the sun.
I've got two problems. First, they will not stay up over braking bumps. Even done up so tight they are cutting off circulation, they are just fabric inside, and they slide down my arms. Second, after a three week holiday with 6-7 days of riding they are looking incredibly tatty! My 3 year old 661 knee pads look newer and they have been through the washing machine several times.
I'm minded to try and return them as not fit for purpose, but wondered what you lot thought?

Never go against your instincts :-)
If your not happy with them and they don't do the job they are supposed to, send them back. All they will do is niggle at you every time you put them on, life's to short to be annoyed by elbow pads :-D.
You could always try double sided sticky tape though? hehe.0 -
i personally would not trust the evo elbow pads.. they end being ripped off your elbow when you need them the most.. if they that loose on you to ride down then they will defo not protect you...www.bearbackbiking.com
