That's the one I had, the 300. Yellow and red mini's. Loved it.0 -
..and the great thing about having kids is you can do it all over again.
Every year i check out their christmas lists and persuade them to drop whatever and get a new car, bridge, pit stop lane etc.
The digital version is brilliant, wish we'd had it when i was young.0 -
I can't imagine this is a very exciting analog for track cycling though?Commuting between Twickenham <---> Barbican on my trusty Ridgeback Hybrid - url=http://strava.com/athletes/125938/badge]strava[/url0

Saw this on "Something for the Weekend" a week or so ago.
Didn't look that impressive.
My idea of a Scalextric track is akin to the one James May built around the Brooklands Circuit.New Malden to Epsom Downs

You can run four cars on the same two lane track (or 6 on 4-lanes) and the ability to overtake (a bit like signal points on a railway track), are the big plusses, add pit-stop lanes, electronic lap counter , reverse travel direction.
The cars are a bit grippier too as they have a magnet in the floor pan.0 -

me too - or at least I started off with that set. accumulated loads more track and cars over the years.
It made a reappearance from the loft about 6 years ago and was updated to the newer power pack and a couple of newer cars, but not the digital overtaking thing which is only a year or two old I think.
I can see it coming down from the loft again soon, its great fun.Bianchi Infinito CV
