I'm off on hol with bike tomorrow and trying to figure out how to get a working brake on my bike in time. Will I be able to take the caliper and post mount adapter and 203mm rotor from my 2010 Boxxers and put it all on my post mount (2009?) Van 36 (instead of the knackered 180mm system)? Rotors are both 6 bolt. I'm at work so can't check just now.

no the adaptors are totally different.

what are the two brakes? just fit the caliper from one ton the adapter.

But it would be better to know what is actually wrong.

  • Yeah, I just thought of that, much simpler! The hose has got a very dodgy looking kink in it and nobody in town has the necessary Hope bits in stock. I've reinforced with card and tape so it might last a week, but I'll prob swap over just in case. Thanks.
