  • My new affordable housing plan, buy a plot of land where permanent structures requiring foundation cannot be built at a reasonable cost (ie old forecourts etc) then charge rent to all my now caravan inhabiting friends to park up on it.

This may work I reckon :D

Book me in, I'll build a haunted house that converts into a workshop/pad and not pay taxes and all things not tied down will spookily appear in my trailer mwuhahah

Erm no, but the dirtbags left a dog the last time they stayed round here
I feed it my lunch sometimes on my way to work, hope it finds a home for winter

I wouldn't worry, they'd have eaten it before now anyway !

    Leave them where they are.
I live in scotland and am happy to have them live the rest of their life in England.
In fact increase the size of the site tenfold and evict all the moaning local residents.
All the gypos can then move to this supertramp site and live happily ever after.

You've just given us a firkin great idea - there's loads of room for caravans in Scotland and with the amount of moaning they do about getting the thin end of the wedge, they'd fit right in

Totally disagree, keep them in england and let them rip.
We have midgies to keep them and caravan owners out.
That is what the midge is designed for.
Long live the midgie, especially the female ones.

    Forgot about those little b@stards.

Mind you one English farmer had the right idea when some Pikeys moved into one of his fields. He just wandered over and politely mentioned to them that he was "muck spreadin' tomorrow in this field". They were gone by the next morning :D

A bunch of thieving rowdy fat tattooed yobbos with big 4x4s and no taste living in Essex. I imagine its hard to tell the difference between the local yokels and the pikies.

I'm kind of sympathetic to the travellers and we've always got on well with them but if you've been living there for 10 years, in a house, you're a pretty crap traveller. The clue's in the name really.

  • I work about a mile from Dale Farm and we'll be very glad to see the back of 'em..

They are round on our Industrial Estate every night cruising for scrap metal, I've lost count of the amount of stuff we've had nicked - topped of a couple of months back by the earth cable from our 11KVA Transformer being neatly cropped at each end and taken (it is something like a 3000mm2 single core cable, was cut very neatly with hydraulic croppers) not worth reporting it to the rozzers as we all know that Pikeys are above the law..

Basildon is already a s**thole - it doesn't need thieving pikeys lowering the tone!
