Wow, well done. I bet that beer at the end has never tasted sweeter. Amusing write up too. And well done for leaving the old german behind, show them who's boss, that's the spirit. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
Will get to your blog in a quiet time, but for now, well done, what a feat of endurance! When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.0

Hard on the hands too my fingertips are all half numb
I started with a dodgey knee and a sore "inner thigh"
Ended with a equally sore sore area and a dodgy ankle instead of a bad knee. Bizarrely the knee cleared up in the first 50km
Had a little bit of "sting" on the heel of my palms during the ride but it had gone before I got on Eurostar to get home
Brian, ISTR you saying to me after the Avalon Sunrise 400km in 2010 that 400km was too far, you'd had enough, never again etc etc
What next? I hear that the German 1500km event is running next year0 -

PBP leaves one tantalizingly close to a Brevet 5000 who knows what can be done. Shame to waste the already done!0 -
A few of my own thoughts from PBP - best bike ride I have ever been on for sure!

These photos of PBP are excellent, really get the atmosphere. By a 90h starter based in the UK

Loved the ride and enjoyed writing about it almost as much!
