Hah yeah i have a friendly tester as well, just handy knowing the rules and when they're extracting the urine.

Plus he's just an mot station, not a garage so he has no benefit in finding fault so you know it's a genuine fault.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

    Yep, true mate.

The MOT my garage used was just that, and it passed every time ! Mind you Jap cars were pretty good on reliability generally, most of my cost was down to me thrashing it round tracks on a regular basis :-)

  • I had a JDM Honda Prelude 2.2 Si VTEC for a while.

Great car with a lovely engine, insurance quotes were coming in the same as UK cars too.

Shared many same parts as the UK models, better engine internals and folding mirrors are the only differences that I can think of. Ran better on Super too.

It was only going to Honda that brought any grief- "Oh its an import- that needs a special battery"
erm...no it does not you robbing cnut.

Easily sorted by "borrowing" a UK cars details! Or acquiring a part number from the 'net.

That's when you either ask for a 1 Litre Daewoo Matiz battery from a motor factors or a Honda Jazz battery. Same small battery with small terminals.
