Hi All,
As with most peeps on this thread, I am about to purchase my first 'Proper'(I think so anyway) MTB
Now, it will be through my company CTW scheme, and my voucher is for £650, and must be used at Evans Cycles.
My cycling normally includes 10% Road, 40% Bridlepath(v.rutty) and 50% Cycle Tracks(Grit/Gravel)
After looking in Evans, my choice I feel is either:-
Fuji Tahoe 4.0
Pinnacle Iroko One
(Although really dont like the look of this one, but specs may be massive??)
GT Avalanche 1.0
Any other bike suggestions greatly recieved.Due to the road aspect, I do feel front fork suspention lockout is a must
As you may be able to tell, I am a complete novice, and have no idea what derailleurs are better than others wtc, hence my question.
Many Thanks in advence for any suggestions
Matt

Can you visit the shops and take a look? Try for size?0

I'm by no means an expert but if you're thinking of a Specialized I think you'd be better off going for the better frame of the Rockhopper even if that means the components aren't up to much (to keep within budget) - you can always upgrade as & when you need to"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

Yep, I'd go for the Genesis Core 20, or the Rockhopper... but I would try to get a ride in first to be sure.Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)
