I have to make a quick trip to Chins - Shenzhen SAR from Hong Kong. I do not have a current China Visa and with the hol it could be risky trying to get one at short notice.
Someone - reasonably sensible - told me that because it is SAR then you can get one on the border and I do remember seeing a China Visa Kiosk in Guangzhou (SAR) a coupe of yrs ago.
Can anyone advise if I can get a visa for Shenzhen - on the border- arriving from HK by train?

My wife got a visa at the border for a day trip to China from HK. Not sure if it was Shenzen she was going to, but looking at a map it seems that would have been her likely destination. I'd allow some extra time though - apparently it wasn't the fastest process...0
