I think Leroy is the guy who just piles into the fray and ruins the "mission".

Many say its a fake - but as the RonB says its become synonymous with rushing in and stuffing stuff up.

i asked my nephew the same thing , if you had played warcraft you would get it , also he pretty much does it all by himself , even after the geek commander comes up with his plan that because of leroy going GUNG HO is not followed .
