Just been looking at the Tour of Britain route map, and stage 2 goes along the exact same 20 km of bendy country road that I regularly cycle!

I will enjoy cycling that route all the more once I see them race along it!

Should also help me plan a prime spot to stand and watch!

One or two others on this forum experienced the very same elation when they found out the Olympic Road Race was going up Box Hill.
Hope you get to enjoy watching the ToB.

    ToB?

Hah, a fair amount of the Worlds in Copenhagen will be on roads I commute on :-)

Greg Lemond and Bernard Hinault were over the moon when they heard I would be riding up Alpe D'Huez this year.

Apparently they've both been up there on their bikes too. :D

Dave, we all know about you, but please fill us in on these Greg and Bernard characters, do they ride regularly?
