Clubs??.

Are there any mountain bike clubs. Or any riders who'd like to meet up for a training ride.

If we got together and took turns to lead the way round are local areas we'd soon have more areas to pick from. I could lead you round a 20 mile loop 50/50 of B roads with 4 great off road sections.

I'm just waiting for my mates wedding this weekend, before I get back into regular riding, so would be up for a few outings. I've only really done Llandegla, so a little short on local knowledge.

Blazing bikes, the above do a Wed evening ride at 6.30 I think.

I ride around the Long Mynd and I also have some other routes around Shrewsbury, varying distances etc.

I've ridden around Llandegela once and found the long long up-hills a bit of put off. but the twisty route through the trees and the high board walk thingy was ace I did it four times while my brother whimped out and walked under it.
Also I've done Cannock three times and loved it. but I can't justify the fuel money when I can do the same sort of route on me door step (well almost ).

From mine you can do the lanes around hindford or the canal path up to chirk. Ok for a training ride but not the most exciting.

Mate of mine in Shrewsbury is just getting into mountain biking so we'll be up for a few outings mid-late sept.

Hi over the weekend I found out that there are some tracks around Eastridge Woods the other side of Shrewsbury, near Minsterley.

I took part in a race and came 11 out of 15, not bad for my first race.

I am in Market Drayton, but work in Chester.

Up for a ride, but will be mid October as work & MBA studies have mucked up riding for the next month

PM if you are orgainising a ride. There is another lad on here from Telford (Ben Naylor) and a chap from Macc who are always willing to go for a decent ride.
