Hi,

My previous bike got pranged by a careless driver :-( and so I'm just starting to look for a replacement.

The previous was a TIME VX elite full carbon racing bike. I enjoyed riding it a lot - mostly for triathlons and long-distance (100+) day rides. I'm looking to spend £3000-£3500.

I'm very tall (6'6), which I find to be quite a limiting factor in the selection. Can anyone here help me out with some recommendations on what might be suitable?

Many thanks,

Miles

A made-to-measure carbon Viner. Will fit you perfectly then.

Colnago have traditional Sizes in 62,63,64,& 65cm.

Check their Website Canyon bikes from GERMANY do a size 66cm as well.
  • If you can stretch your budget I would definitely look at the colnago. I am 6'6" with 37" inside leg and recently bought a C59 in traditional size 65cm. It fits like a glove and is also fantastically stiff around the bottom bracket & head tube, so you get minimal frame flex.

My other bike is a canondale caad 10 @ 63cm which is also a good fit and a great bike but no where near as fast as the colnago. Might be worth looking at the Super Six.

If you like riding a Time don't downgrade to the scott's/colnago's/specialized's etc Stick with Time or upgrade and get a Parlee.

    Yep,

Spend a little more and get a Parlee frame. (They're bloody gorgeous, and blooming stiff)

My LBS has just become a stockist too! The frame they have in stock has this gorgeous single direction carbon weave which looks like it's got an infinate depth to it.
