Hello,
Just a quick question for the road guy's really, i'm mixing the 9speed dura ace with the slx shadow mech, the dura ace are bar end shift style and the shadow mech does not have cable tension barrel adjusters. thinking ahead of the game i've purchased these:
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=39475
I'm good at hacking but thought that they might fit into the rear mech anyway, I know you can run a gearing system without tension adjusters also (apparently) just faffier to tune which i'm trying to avoid.
What other methods (apart from down tube tension as the frame is 29er) may there be just as a plan B?
Thanks

Hi. What you need are in-line cable adjusters, I use them with 8-speed bar end levers and they work fine. Put them in the cables between the lever and the first down-tube cable stop, they're easy to get at there and can be adjusted on the move if necessary.0

They look similar to what I've purchased so must be on the right track!0
