I’m looking at building some new wheels up. Using some carbon rims I was thinking of getting them off ebay from China.

But I’m unsure what hubs to pair these with, Ive been told by a fellow club member that the hub makes a difference, but hubs is nothing I know anything about, so any help will useful
Thanks in advance.

These
277 grams for the pair. I have a front one and it's lovely. Bought it from bikehubstore - arrived in less than a week and I didn't get stung for duty and VAT.More problems but still living....0 -
The front looks identical to the one on my soul s2.0 and is great. I have a pair o planet x pro lights? laced to 60mm and I love them just as much if not better.0

Just built up some Rotaz hubs, same as the bikehubstore ones, appear to be decent quality and the freewheel has a nice distinctive 'buzz' - managed to find some Mavic Helium rims built with CX Rays and DT Revs and the wheels came out at 1350g.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I got my rims from Paul Hewitt. I'd already bought the Rotaz hubs for another build, but decided they needed better rims and was passing so asked what tubular rims he had and he had an extremely dusty pair of NOS Heliums tucked out the back - couldn't believe my luck. Didn't see any others.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
