How tight should knee and arm-warmers be?

a silly question on the face of it but bear with me ....

just received an internet order and kneewarmers are pretty tight: I have to try hard to pull them up my thighs. Can only get them to overlap bib shorts by about 3 inches, and they are a real skintight fit. They definitely 'grip' at the top but feel a bit like they might slip down when I'm riding cos they're slightly too narrow for my thighs. But they're plenty long enough.

Thing is, I don't want to ride in them and find out cos then I won't be able to send them back. In general are your knee warmers meant to slide on easily?

Likewise my armwarmers, whilst plenty long enough, have a real pinch on the bicep - is this necessary to keep them up?

A balance between the "Nora Batty" wrinkly stocking and too tight they restrict blood-flow. Different makes / materials are cut / gri differently and likewise the types of rubber grip around the top - what's good for some may be less so for others. If you can't get a good overlap under your shorts, then sound like yours are too small and will ride down as you flex your leg - try doing a few deep squats to see if they stay put.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

I reckon I need to go a size up with the kneewarmers at least. Arm warmers probably OK - I'd imagine they need to be v grippy at the top anyway ...

Does anyone esle find Gore sizing on the snug side?

You only need to worry if your limbs go blue and fall off.

I have small and medium Assos arm warmers and although the smalls are a touch tightthey fit better overall and cause no kore concern than an exaggerated seam line on mynarm .. Something thatbhappens with the mediums anyway(to a lesser extent) ...

Just read that back ... More money on arm warmers and less on ipads might ge a better idea ..
