Should see the size of the spider in the utility room here - you can hear the bastard walking! Gonna try and get a pic of the beast, is at least a four inch leg span.0

The wife found a massive spider on the curtains while I was at work the other day. She actually rung me to tell me I had to come home and get it becasue she'd not go back in the house until it was gone.
When I told her to jog on (and after she finished swearing at me) she went and got the old fella who lives next door to come and get it for her.
There are certainly some big mo-fos about this year.0 -
Yeah, and they are about early for these type of spider. Which means they are gonna be even bigger come October!
This one has made a home under the Zaskar frame lol.0 -
I'd be careful, Sonic. I reckon it's intending to grow big enough to steal it!0

Found another in the bath:
Well the magazine posted through the door had to be useful for summat ;-)0 -
What, you're going to use it to teach your spider about the downside of over-eating?0

we could live in worse countries for spiders.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRV4d9LCawU0

Ah, the Huntsman... incredibly the UK housespider is faster! Infact, they are the fastest spiders in the world.0
-
true, but I'd much rather be in the presence of a UK housespider rather than a Huntsman or a Giant Huntsman. I'm not scared by spiders in the slightest, but I'd probably shit myself if I saw one with a 12" leg span...0

We have these in the countryside...and yes, I have seen one...and yes, I backed off
