Demoted my other madone to training and winter duties as I really wanted a proper race and summer bike! Bought some RS80s to go on it as these are fantastic wheels, and upgraded just a few other bits. This morning changed the white cable outers and tape to black as I felt the white was just a bit too much! This is a 2012 bike as well so pretty new, I got it last friday(12/8), but have somehow had a bumper few weeks of riding and put 470 miles on it. Loveing every second! Will keep dry when winter comes though!

First Trek paint job i ever liked, probably coz it looks like they just copied BMC lol

Do like treks tho, despite all the abuse they seem to receive, rs80's fit nicely too

The newer Trek paint schemes aren't too bad nowdays. I must say though, this is my favourite, and it's mine! RS80s are great as well, and all the new shimano wheels fit with this colour scheme which is nice! :)

Yeah, looks pretty good actually! The brakes are the old colour as they didn't come with the bike.

  • i can't get used to it. the colour doesn't look right. normal ultegra would suit this more. is it lighter than the standard one do you know? and the shifters look like the standard ones?

still..nice bike.. and working for trek you can get me a madone on the cheap? ;););););)

I do know what you mean, I prefer the old colour on any bike, but this stuff is still good! Exactly the same under the colouring. I Just <3 my bike
Oo I could get you a madone cheap (all relative), the shop is always happy to get you a good deal

V nice - definitely one of Trek's better looking bikes in recent years

I actually like the darker ultegra on this frame - the original colour looks better on lighter colour frames, but I think the dark ultegra on the (mostly) black frame works well.
