Stage has started, first teams off

A TTT, with a pretty climb! - 2.5 km @ 5%. Can't remember another TTT with a climb in it. Interesting what that will do with the classifications and team strategies.

    Problems for Radioshack - Brajkovic had to get of with mechanical straiight after the start. Will cost them lots of time

    Hmmm.... ITV broadcast is a combi of studio chat and using Aussie live commentary. No own commentators there.....

    Most disappointing. Love Rendell and Boulting, but Harman and Smith are way better commentators. Keep the remote close I guess.

    And loads of commercials - also completely without regard for what's happening, just switching over a couple of seconds before vacansoleil finished. Not the biggest team, but could easily have waited 5 seconds or so.

    ITV really covering the Vuelta was a bit too good to be true.

    Anyone know a Sporza feed? ;)

    Radioshack has waited for Brajkovic, but still faster than Rabobank (who are very disappoining) Cofidis and Vacansoleil

    Again a rider with mechanical straight after the start, Lampre now. And it takes ages to get going.

    Sky shambles.
    4 men become 5, so at least they can proceed to the finish.
    Wiggins loses +30 seconds to others in a time trial.

    Sky sat with only the Spanish Sub Pro team slower. Poor Show!

    Zandio had to get back, but what happened with the other 4? Did they gamble on that hill and sacrifice a couple of riders there?

    Doubt it as they weren't exactly up there at the half way point, and Movistar are so it can't be the conditions worsening I thnk.

    This is a bit of a debacle isn't it? Awful commentary, awful camera work. Pretty girls can't hold the bikes, bikes having issues off the ramp, riders falling off left right and centre, no idea about who is in the team, who isn't. Not really a great showcase so far...
