Orange Five Headset For 2011 Model

Hi. I wonder if anybody could help me. I have a 2011 Orange Five, and I want to upgrade my forks. Merlin Cycles have 32 Talas RLC Fit - 150mm - 15mm Axle - White - on offer.

Could anybody tell me if they would be a good buy, and what kind of headset I would need. My Five can run a 1.5" fork. I'm looking to spend about £100 on a headset.
One more question:
Would I need to buy a new stem? I'm currently running a Renthal Duo Stem.

I don't think your Orange can use a 1.5" steerer. It may have a tapered 1.125" to 1.5" headset, but that is not the same thing.0

as above not really possible.
I say that but with some buying and possibly some fettling you may get something to work.
if you take the top headset assy from this
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=55505
and if the headtube is machined far enough it will allow a straight 1.5 steerer fork to be used with your current lower headset assy.
But check first."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure what fork steerer it could take. At the moment it's got a reducer headset in it, as it's a replacement Five, as the last one was machined wrong at the swing arm. Orange replaced the frame, and put my parts back on. It's running a Rockshock Recon 351 at the moment, but I want to upgrade, and the Merlin offer looks really good.0

In that case, just go for a fork with a tapered steerer. You've paid good money for the tapered headtube, you may as well use it.0
