Some advice on hydraulic brake oil please...

I have Shimano BR-M525 hydraulic disc brakes. The levers have reservoirs for 'Mineral oil' on them so I'm guessing that's what I need to use...
Is there any benefit of using Shimano Mineral Oil over any other brand (e.g. Weldtite) ?
Thanks.

Didn't think so.
..And the Shimano 'Bleed Kit' just seems to be a small bottle of over priced oil and a small length of tubing. Weldtite oil & a trip to the DIY shop for the tubing will give me the same results then? (with a more user friendly length of tube) - or am I missing a vital bit of kit that's included with the Shimano product?

My mate uses a random tube and some oil from Halfords, we did find however it was a little cleaner using one of my avid bleed syringes to put the oil in rather than pour it direct into the reservoir.0

Thanks Mojo!
@ nicklouse - think you could do with watching this video that you posted, mate

You are welcome, and to be fair nicklouse is not normally a one word answer kinda guy.0 -
maybe using open questions rather thav closed ones would get you a better response. Is there any benefit of using Shimano Mineral Oil over any other brand (e.g. Weldtite) ?or am I missing a vital bit of kit that's included with the Shimano product?
so what do you expect? (that is an open question )"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

hahaha - touché.
To answer your open question : I don't expect anything and I am very appreciative with any help or advice as I get back into mountain biking but I would think that you should stick to the rules that you posted in that rather funny little video - I won't quote it again.
But I will try to make any future questions more open...is that ok? (joke)

per the rules in the video

hahaha - had to read the "curling one out in her teapot" again and just saw the end of your post..."the banstick" ? Are you guys for real?
That's not cool, cooldad.
" I would think that you should stick to the rules that you posted in that rather funny little video" - you think that equals disrespect? - come off it.

I'd suggest you check the spelling though. I just took a run up at it, and hoped for the best.0
