120mm fork on a Cube LTD frame - bad idea?

Basically for reasons too boring to go into I need a replacement frame, and I'm contemplating getting a second hand Cube frame to transfer all my bits onto from my Genesis. However, my fork has 120mm travel and all Cube hardtails seem to be 100mm max travel. Has anyone ever fitted a longer travel fork to one? Would it affect the handling/safety at all, or would 20mm extra not be a problem?

20mm should not be a problem, but more than that may be. Contact cube and ask what they think.
