Morning lads
Went for awesome ride yesterday, as I turn into my road to avoid the Arse who park right on the corner I ride straight over a pothole and puncture both wheels, tyres both bit worn now on sides as rode for 20 seconds whilst they deflated. I could not see any damage on the rims but was dark getting dark, spokes seem ok.
Should I clain from the highways for this, has anyone succesfully done this?

Would their have been any damage to the rims for the short time I rode on flat tyres?

Shouldn't be any problems but surely you can see if there is any damage!

As for claiming from the highways - are you saying you want to instigate a claim for two puncture patches and some glue? That isn't going to help the cause of filling potholes

You turned into your own road ? So you'd know the location of the potholes. I don't think you'd have a claim.

I'm sure your tyres will be fine.

Learn how to bunny hop and forget about the claim
  • Just like in crudcatcher, anything happens and someone is looking for claims and compensation. Even when it is their own fault.

Check the rims very carefully, off the bike, and again when you're riding. If there's a dink in the rim the brakes will 'grab' on each revolution of the wheel.

Is this a serious post? Think about what you are asking and say it slowly . . . Should I sue the highways because I got two punctures

Hows about in future you just look where your going

And really, are you telling us the sides of your tyres are worn down because you rode on a flat for 20 seconds
