Cold ears

Hi All

I seem to suffer from cold ears more than others. Sometimes they'll get so cold that it makes riding so uncomfortable. Once I get into the warmth, it takes about 10 mins for them to warm up!

So, what does everyone recommend to keep them toasty?

There are headbands:

Then there are helmet undercovers:

Some people have even recommended regular tennis-style headbands!

Any opinions?

Cheers,

Thin fleecy balaclava in winter. Other times MTFU.

    +1
  • I use a thin Headsweats beany hat under my helmet in winter. When it's milder, a bandanna which covers the ears.

I've got a cheapo version of the headband in your first link, makes such a difference just having something covering the back of your head and ears on a cold windy hill. My mates laugh at me but who cares :)
Great for sticking in your pocket, just in case you need it.

I usually wear a ful face so keping cool is my problem :o You could wear a snowboard helmet with in built ear muffs.

Ride a tandem with a hot babe on the rear seat who can keep your ears warm for you.
