New Crank

Hey probably a simple question but how do you measure your Crank? Is it from the centre of the bottom Bracket to the centre of where the pedals go on the arm?

Also any suggestions for upgrades? looking at SLX from my Deaore. Don't want to go too crazy but want quality.

That may be correct. Look for a number somewhete on either side. 'normal' is 175 mm you wont go far wrong with anither of them.

it will be stamped on the back of the arm.

Current Deore are actually excellent and really cheap.

Did some reading on this today. Seems like crank length is largely immaterial according to this:

May be different if you're riding a single speed though.
