For the past week or so I have been thinking about getting a Ribble bike for £1k, the Sportive Bianco. I went into my LBS for a look today and saw a nice Trek 2.1, the TDF coloured limited edition bike, 105 Groupset. It was very nice.

If you guys had to pick between them which would you pick?? Is there much diiference in weight??

Thanks in advance

The Ribble has about the same components (105 groupset), but on a much nicer carbon frame, versus the Trek's aluminium one. I'd go with the Ribble unless you had a specific reason otherwise.

Go with the better frame. Much as I like 105, Tiagra is perfectly decent as well. Plus, you can always upgrade components later, but if you want to upgrade the frame you need to rebuild the bike around it.
