He's in a pretty bad way according to BBC new:, broken pelvis, spine, one collapsed lung and internal injuries. Let's hope he will be able to wealk again let alone anything else.
Hope they string the b*****d up - spineless t*** never even stopped.0 -

Terrible news - hope he's able to make a full recovery although it looks unlikely he'll make the Olympics0 -
I know Simon well having raced with/against him many times over the years. Even sat on a plane beside him flying to race in Spain (where he hung out with my squad the whole time).
Very bad luck to get hit badly twice (the first time making him a Paracyclist) and hoping he has a speedy and full recovery.0 -
It's awful and just shows how poorly "white van man" drives.
We lost Gary Mason (boxer) to another van driver.0 -
Best wishes to Simon and hope for a speedy recovery.
I've trained with him a Newport and Calshot - nice guy.Trainee BC level 2 coach ... and that's offical (30th June 2013)

Get well quickly Simon.
And to Mr White Van Man, hand yourself in. How can you live with yourself after doing that to someone?0 -
Well, if they're giving people 4 years for attempting to organise riots over the internet, then the driver deserves to go down for a very long time indeed. I read elsewhere that it's possible that he'll never ride again, which would be a massive loss in more than one way.Twitter: @FunkyMrMagic0

Wishing Simon all the best. Hope he makes a quick and complete recovery - just a shame he'll probably have to miss London 2012.0

posted in campaign, not perfect, but if enough sign, then the govt are obliged to take notice and review it.

To be fair, he was never going to make it to London. Unless you meant as a spectator.
He hasn't been on the GB team for years now and they want nothing to do with him.
Nevertheless, wishing him a speedy recovery.0 -
Best wishes to Simon for a speedy recovery, so unlucky to have this happen to him twice. My thoughts are with him and his family.
Campaign duly signed, something need to be done to make the roads safer and drivers more accountable.
