Hi All

Ive deceided on my new wheels (well sort of!) after a bit of investigation I have gone for.. http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/produc ... ?&id=11197

They sound pretty good and have been recomended to me, also I can get them from a local shop and pay on 6 m onths interest fre credit (every little helps!)

However, I also noticed these for a little bit of extra cash

now I am torn....

I know it all depends on what I want them for, so here it is in order of imporance for me.

1- Climbing - I love to climb, and would not want one if if was significantly worse than the other at climbing
2- General speed- My current wheels seem ok but I am hoping for an improvement so which would be best
3- Looks - shouldnt really matter should it! - But I prefer the looks of the Aero Wheels
4- Decending - my big weakpoint which I need to improve - would one of these give me more confidence than the other (as that is what I lack when decending!)

so there you go, any advice much appreciated, generally ride about 40 miles, the odd 100,a nd live in Cheshire so a lot will be in Peaks, Cheshire cat Killer mile etc.

Cheers

If you like climbing and your weak point is descending at which you lack confidence - then dont get the aero wheels. They will probably be heavier due to the extra rim, and if its v windy on descents - there's more to catch the wind.

Yes- I was thinking that may be the case but was not sure, that is the last thing I need so thanks for confirming

I've got the aero ones. I love 'em.

You notice them a little with sidewind gusts, but they are fast, smooth and look the biz.

Build quality is excellent and I feel I can climb faster, decent better and accelerate quicker.

Yes they are a bit heavier than the standard which I have no experience of and if you do not need /want aero then you might want to stick with the standard.

Cheers for that - sorry for my ignorance but what do you mean when you say if I do not need / want aero?

Thats the dilema im in...... not sure if I need them. I know I need new wheels but am undeceided between the 2.

So what made you go for the Aero option?

    Thanks
