Wiggo to ride Titanium for two years
 Jeez, Two years with titanium plates reinforcing his clavicle. and some fat bloke on Purple scooter chasing him. Brailsford's sure got those Sky boys drilled.
Hope its not Russian aerograde titanium or the UCI will ban him as a radiation risk.
Good Luck in the Vuelta, Twiggo.

Good luck indeed. Wonder how his form is? Apparently was v. good for the tour, so will be interesting to see how he does. I guess the amount of climbing may not fully suit but still....
Anyone know how his form is at the moment?

Nobody know's, and nobody will know untill the Vuelta Starts, Even Brailsford says he has no idea what his form is like. He hasn't raced for 7 weeks so he probably doesn't even know himself!0 -
he has said that without racing he has no idea hwo he will go - but if he can limit his losses in the mountains he should be able to get some time back in TT - should be good enough for a top ten and will no doubt ride himself into fitness."If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

In the Tour a lot seems to rest on what type of mountains a rider can climb. For instance some climbers are good in the Pyrenees (steeper, narrower, shorter (?)) whereas others favour the Alps (longer wider less steep(?)) and moreover some say that success depends upon which comes first for a particular rider.
If there is any substance in the above does the Vuelta have the sort of climbs which will favour Wiggo and what type are they?0 -
Both the Giro and the Vuelta usually feature much steeper climbs than the Tour, often exceeding 15% and sometimes even 20%.
Threse much steeper climbs tend to suit the pure climbers more than riders like Wiggins. Wiggins would be more suited to the longer, less steep climbs that appear more often in the Tour.0 -
