Hey guys, looking at my first big upgrade in the new year possibly, current bike is a Cannondale Trail SL3 HT which has the RST Deuce coil fork which has been doing ok but now my ability and confidence is growing I feel the fork may be holding the bike back a bit so looking to upgrade. Few questions:

Is an Air fork simply better?? I ride mainly local trails & Gisburn, looking to head to wales soon coed y brenin.

Can my bike take an increase from 100mm to say 120mm??

Are Fox forks really that much better than their competitors (Price reflect this)??

Sorry for amount of questions i'm sure there will be a few different opinions but all welcome.

Cheers,

Woody

May or may not be better but will be more easily adjustable.
Do you need to increase it really or just improve the front end?
Some would say yes, some no. Fox obviously think so.

I think improve the front end, i have played about with the rebound adjust on the coil and it is performing alot better than it was. I'm not an aggressive rider but am almost 18stone in weight and wonder whether this may have any effect on fork performance?
