I've got a half day at work tomorrow and i'm hoping to get out on the bike. I'm looking for a 60ish mile loop, ideally a nice ride on some quiet country roads. Anywhere from Merseyside to the East of Manchester, and from South Lancashire to North Cheshire.
Any suggestions?

They are great. I'll pick one to have a bash at this afternoon.
    Cheers Neil :)
  • HMMM - May poach a few of these for my GPS, close enough for me to give them ago.

Are they all on quiet / country roads or a mix?

I did a ride to Winterhill last Sat, and although I enjoyed the ride, I could have perhaps plotted a quieter route. People were staggering around the towns pissed at 2/3pm on a Saturday
  • Another good place to look is north Cheshire clarion cycle clubs ride archive. There's some real good uns on there

Pretty much quiet roads yes, they are a collection of clubs runs and rides with friends I've done this last year. Only one I can think of with a serious main road is the run to the Chestnut Centre when we chain ganged it back down the Chapel Bypass
