as I live in not so sunny Wales I'm starting to get ready for winter riding or at least cold weather riding, So any suggestions or recommendations for a pair of 3/4 tights, I don't want to spend more than 60 quid,

3/4 always seem a bit of a waste of dosh as there's so few days you can wear them. Why not get some knee warmers and carry on wearing your bib shorts?

Pace roubaix - from wiggles DHB range - they are warm and comfy and wont break the bank.

Looking to get the full tight versions for the winter.

I currently wear the Pace (normal) 3/4 at the moment and i dont mind wearing them even on the hottest of days.

  • Don't buy them. Bibshorts and kneewarmers are more logical.

I've just collected a set of full length from cycle-clothing.co.uk, as they're fully 5 miles away from where I live.

Cracking quality full length bib shorts with a pad for £35. They also do 3/4s, but not bibs.

Nice guys running it, too: happy to chat for half an hour to a random stranger turning up on their doorstep :D

No affiliation, but I like supporting local businesses when they do good things :D

    DHBs are good.

Shorts arent typically roubaix material though - just thinner lycra - so you could get by with them and kneewarmers - but I prefer the 3/4s.

Not sure I agree, if you're talking about winter-weight ones. I have the dhb Merston ones in full length and 3/4 and I wear the 3/4 ones a lot more.

But if you're talking about normal weight ones then yeah, knee warmers probably make more sense.

Can recommend the Specialized RBX 3/4. Roubaix material really comfy and the chamois is very comfy too.
I think the RRP is a little more than £60 but if you shop around you might get a deal, I did.

If its cold enough that kneewarmers and shorts leave your c0k a little too cold, then its cold enough to cover your shins.

I was looking for a pair a couple of weeks ago and stuck a similar thread on here myself.
Eventually ended up going for the dhb Pace Roubaix and I'm happy with them.
  • Selling my brand new rapha cross 3/4 in large but £50 more than your budget... maybe someone else is interested.
