Last year i completed the Manchester 100 on my MTB, this year im doing it on my new shiney Specialized road bike. Can anyone suggest what tyres would be the best option as the ones that came wth the bike have already had 2 punctures in 1 month.

I'd recommend Krylions. Better p*ncture resistance than race tyres, but very little compromise in speed or handling.

GP4000S or the Krylions. Both have better puncture resistance than Ultremo's of any label and grip well.
I'd avoid anything which is specifically a light race tyre (in order of fragility least to most), Ultremo's, Pro3's and Vittoria Evo CX all ride wonderfully and are noticeably faster than anything else but I just don't think they're worth the trouble (at least, not in or near London).0 -
I bought some of these for my commuter bike (but in 35mm):

Since fitting them I've done 759 miles without a puncture, may not be as fast as the other suggestions but I just thought I'd add an option for the less serious racer types.0 -
thanks for all the suggestions, all look pretty smart. Tyres should be the last thing on my mind, completing my first 100 mile ride should be0
