Time trial specific kit

I rode a 25 yesterday and recorded a time of 1 hr 11 secs. I was on my road bike - which got me wondering how much faster I could be if I bought some specialist TT kit.
Could anyone have a guess at how much each of the following would knock off my time?

Time trial bike about 1min
Deep section wheels 90 seconds
Disc wheel Another 15 seconds
Pointy hat about 30 seconds
Skinsuit 5 seconds
Overshoes nothing
Aerodynamic water bottle nil
Ceramic bearings not much resistance is from wind
Spanish beef not much unless you invest in the rest of the program
all roughly speaking based on your time above
Riding harder and concentrating the whole way around will save 5 minutes0 -
Thanks for the replies. Sounds like a pointy hat could get me under the hour. Big difference of opinion on skinsuit and overshoes. Interesting.0

I'd personally say (from experiance) that a skinsuit and overshoes are worth much more than 5 seconds0

Remember his speed is 21 mph or so. Most of the stat you read are based on 31 mph or so.
At 21 mph clothing makes not as much difference as lowering the frontal area exposed to the wind0 -
my speed was almost dead on 25mph surely?0

60 mins 11 secs0

Sorry read it as 1hr 11 min.
Still at 25 get your position correct and you will get the most improvement and also your cheapes0 -
you WILL get under the hour EASY with TT bike and helmet

Positioning is one of the (if not THE) biggest improvements you can make.0

Depends on your current position on the bike, and just how low you can go without your power starting to suffer, people would really need to see some pics of you riding position at the moment.
I have found shrugging my shoulders, rounding my shoulders and getting my head tucked in helps, also keeping your legs in, you'd be suprised the amount of people who ride with their knees out.0 -

My other favourite is
Rule #10
/ It never gets easier, you just go faster.
Climbing is hard. It stays hard. To put it another way, per Greg Henderson: “Training is like fighting with a gorilla. You don’t stop when you’re tired. You stop when the gorilla is tired.”0 -
1 hr 11s on a road bike!! Great riding and well done. I reckon if you rode it again you'd beat the hour, course knowledge can help a lot with pacing. As danowat says position is everything for a TT so some clip ons and an hour setting yourself up properly should knock nearly 3 mins off that time.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

If I rode it again I would definitely beat the hour! …I didn’t have a computer on the bike so had no idea how close it was. I could find 11 seconds down the back of my sofa!0

I don’t do many TTs, this was my first 25 in a couple of years (other than the club course which is hilly) but I’m thinking of doing a few more. Hence the equipment question. I think I’ll start with an aerodynamic hat as it’s a bit late in the season to invest in a new bike. Does anyone have a second had one they don’t need? I would need a large size.0

Did you have tri bars?0

If you can't get/afford a skinsuit at the moment it might be worth just using a tight compression top. I used an underarmour short sleeve job for my first few TTs and that worked pretty well. Definitely faster than the skinsuit anyway. Don't expect the helmet to make much difference unless your position suits it.Racing for Fluid Fin Race Team in 2012 - www.fluidfin.co.uk0

Unless you're riding in the TT position on aero bars, a TT helmet is more likely to do more harm than good.0
