Boardman Team Carbon 2010 cassette upgrade?

After reading some of the forums I thought I'd be ok upgrading the rear cassette on my TC - so ordered a Shimano 105 11/28 cassette to replace the 12/25, as I've got a hilly event coming up.
When I've went to put it on - it wont hit the 28 because of the short rear mech - any ideas?
Can anyone confirm that a 12/27 will be ok?
Cheers

Shouldn't have any problem with a short cage mech, 50-34 compact crankset and an 11-28 cassette (this is what I have on my cube)
Is the chain long enough? You will need an extra 2 links to go from 25 tooth largest sprocket to a 28 tooth largest sprocket. Also you will probably have to wind in the "b" tension screw on the rear mech to give a bit more clearance.Dolan Preffisio

I have a 2009 Boardman TC with SRAM rival short rear mech. I now run an 11-28 cassette without a problem. Just needed to fine tune therear mech a bit.0
