drop outs

hey guys and girls need abit of adive
im planning to build a fixie but not sure wat sort of drop out i could get away wiv do the need to track drops out or can they be any drop out thanks

    any Horizontal type is ok.

    if it give enough movement for tension.

    well you can not use vertical as you can not get the tension (unless you find the magic ratio).

    BTW when i say Horizontal i am including track fork ends

    Getting a bit dated now since his death, but still a very good source of info.

    I like the graphics; just what all the newbie fixers need; They should kneel and pray in front of this graphic to get metaphysical inspiration!!!

    I favour road type ends for road-going bikes because it is easier to get the wheel in and out, especially with mudguards. Track bikes ideally should have track fork-ends (which are not drop-outs technically as the wheel cannot just drop out).
