I think that the person that (allegedly) rides this bike would sit on the handlebars and rest his chin on the saddle.

How's your grandad getting around now without his bike? ;-)

I suspect the only time that would go fast is if you threw it out of a plane.

All you need is some clip onss and you'll be set to put in some TT PBs !!

It would then become an airborne ranger.

You can turn the handlebars downwards for time trials.

I like the way the chain is faired-in for improved aerodynamics.

Yes! And the brakes tucked away in the hubs to clean up the flow around the bridge and crown.

    Hell of a machine.

Judging by the quality of construction and tubing it would sink pretty fast too!
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

You need to practice drawing on those whitewall tyres a bit more "round" down the bottom right of the picture there.

Have you thought of weighing her in at the scrapyard at all?? Given the price of steel currently and the amount used there - you could probably buy a Cipolini RB1000 with Shimano Di2 and Zipp 808s using the proceeds, and then get Mario to teach you to ride it.

"They see me rollin' - they hatin'..."

I like it - what's the bit that seems to be holding the rack to the seatstays - is that one of those rear wheel locking things? (not a brake before anyone says it)

One of the CC's round my way does something called a 'Tin Can Ten' or something like that where they all drop the road bikes and use something like this instead. This years winner was riding a 3-spd Raleigh Caprice complete with basket and dynamo lights etc...
