I don't get it... I mean, great production values and everything, but this must be a terrifying experience. Watching them do skids while slowly descending these hills makes me cringe, surely it would just take a blowout for them to totally lose control? Not to mention that they must get through a set of tyres for every descent. Fixies are a great idea for city riding, but this seems like madness.
Lovely countryside though...

Good production. Key ingredients for success, yes it looks cool, nice bianchi and there is an attractive female riding a bike..
Changing the rear tyre every mile though could get boring though..0 -

I don't know about the tyre changing getting boring - I was bored of watching after 30s....ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
Sketchley - yes I saw him at Somerset House a few years back and he played 'hand on my heart' and it was just like so beautiful man, I was there, with my kinda cool checked shirt on and a little tache and my fit little girlfriend who was sexy in a kind of 'counter-culture' kind of way and I just had a look of serene smugness all over my face and I rode my fixie there - with aerospokes no less and I was so cool I was aching, down there, and I had to go and relieve myself all over my saddle: which I did, but in a really cool alouf way.0

I think their bike handling skills would put a lot of people here to shame! Some call it madness - but they clearly are capable of handling their bikes! What would you call a 60mph descent in the Vuelta, I wonder?
For myself, I found the video really enjoyable - a first rate production. It's just people having fun on bikes, really.
I'm surprised by how the comments here have generally been quite positive, given the degree to which cynicism seems to pervade this forum!0 -

Thing is, the descents here are pretty slow principly because they don't have proper brakes0 -
Precisely. If they had brakes they could actually get some speed up instead of tentatively wobbling into the bends.0

I was thinking about this the other day.
On my fixed bike I do leg brake a lot now, in fact the game is to do the commute without touching the brake lever. Leg braking is pretty powerful, but the instant that the back wheel locks and starts to skid then the braking effect is almost completely nullified.
Ergo skids look cool (well, c'mon, you know they do) but don't actually have any significant braking effect. And shag your tyires (which is why they are especially popular in Glasgow )FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits
