What do the pro teams do with the bikes at the end of the season? When they upgrade?

Thats a lot of bicycles to "get rid of"/sell....

    Some get used as training bikes over the winter, others get passed down to feeder teams, some get given away in competitions others get sold.

    There was a load of Slipstream/Garmin/Chipotle bikes and clothing for sale via the Slipstream Sports web site a few years back and there have been a few links on here to ex-pro bikes from various team for sale over the years. Much discussion followed as to whether they were well looked after, how much wear they had and how the daily cleaning with a jet wash would have affected the bearings.

    Last year both Garmin and OPL sold all their old bikes.

    Not sure if you are asking from curiosity or actually fancy one. If curiosity, then probably covered by the posts already made. If actually fancying one, then suggest HIghroad sports might be worth an email :-)

    Who knows - they might not even have shifted all their Scotts - let alone the Specialized.

    I took one from Slipstream and couldn't have been happier with the deal.

    At end of day, it's just a secondhand bike and unless you are after one from the star rider of any particular team - the price should reflect what it really is. Cav's Venge? Different matter altogether!!!
