My first Organised bike Challange

I just wanted to tell everyone about it.
Although I have done thedistance before I have not done it on an organised ride. On Sunday I took part in the Shkespeare ride, doing the 100k.
It was one of the best rides I have done since I got into cycling last year. I completed in 4.46 and my actual cycling time was 4.08 and within this I took on and finished the Larkstoke hill ( slowly but I got up without getting off the bike).
I am now hooked on these and am looking forward to the Macmilan ride in September.
Anyone who has not tried these challenges, Do It. the atmosphere was fantastic and the organisation was superb.
Thats all really, I just wanted to brag about finishing my first challenge

Well done! I was there too and agree it was a great day, although I could have done without the downpour at the end.
I did the 100km as my right kneee is still a bit dodgy, but I'm up for the 100 miler next year.
See you at the MacRide - I'll be the bloke in lycra, wearing a helmet and tinted glasses riding a bike.Purveyor of "up"0 -
