Guys,
I bought some R1's from the classifieds a couple of months back. The arrived and looked in good nick, so I stuck them on the Ribble.
After a couple of rides I noticed that they started to have small bits of threadlike material coming away at the sidewall.
Is it OK to ride on these tyres with this going on? It seems to be getting worse, so I don't want a blow-out whilst descending.
Cheers
FJ

Most tyres have an internal carcass made of fabric
It's not unusual for a bit of this to appear on some tyre types. Continental GP4 Seasons gush it out in a long thread
I wouldn't worry about it too much0
