Hi i bought Continental X King Racesport tyres from my local bike shop on Wednesday fitted them and have ridden on them for about 20miles (Just on Railway lines) Today loading the bike into the car to go to my local Trail centre i noticed this:

^that is the bike with them on.

I took the tyre back to my lbs and they said Continental would say it would be rider error but im 99% certain i havent hit anything. But at £44 each i would expect them to be tougher than that. What do you think i should do?

The second photo in this Post looks like an excuse to get some bike porn in MTB general opposed to Your Mountain Bikes where it should go...

As for the tyre, big Cahnua, it happens, duct tape or new tyre depending on how badly the sidewall's damaged or how image conscious you are..
  • i have put a park tool emergency patch on it. As the front tyre is damaged do you think i should put it on the rear as if its on the front and it blows my steering will be affected.

If you didn't notice the problem as you fitted it and have ridden them I doubt you will get much joy from anyone - the old "I was just riding along" defence just doesn't cut it with most people these days.
