Waterproof Jacket

I am thinking of getting a good walking hill jacket for my father who turns 70 this week. He lives in the Lakes, and is a regular walker. I have had a Berghaus High Trails for about 6 years, and it's only OK value for money. The quality wasn't great, breathes well as its goretex XCR, but I wasn't overwhelmed at £170
I've got no idea however of any other range - paramo, Mountain Equipment, TNF etc. Don't want to spend more than £150, prepared to shop around (I have found the high trails current version for as little as £130 compared to £200 in Blacks / Cotswolds outdoors etc).
Any recommendations would be gladly welcomed.
Thanks.

The RAB Momentum jacket is excellent.
It's made from eVent fabric which is more breathable than Gore-Tex
It is also a lot lighter fabric so probably needs more care.
Currently on offer at various places for around £130
